Favo User Guidelines

Before you get started on Favo, it’s helpful to understand the guidelines outlined below.

Guidelines for customers

When starting a service request on Favo, make sure you: 

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Submit requests in English
  • Provide accurate account information (i.e. name and/or business info)
  • Offer payment in South African Rands (i.e. no bartering or exchanging a service for another service)
  • Avoid profane or sexually explicit language in your request
  • ​Provide accurate details in your request (i.e. no false or fraudulent information)
  • Don’t submit requests:
    •  For full-time jobs or internship positions
    •  With messages for specific Service Providers
    •  Advertising or offering your own service


Guidelines for Service Providers

When creating your business profile on Favo, make sure you:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Create a service profile in English
  • Provide accurate account information (i.e. name and/or business info)
  • Accept payment in South African Rands (i.e. no bartering or exchanging a service for another service)
  • Avoid profane or sexually explicit language in your service
  • Provide accurate business details (i.e. no false or fraudulent information)
  • Offer your service in South Africa.
  • Are qualified, as required by law, to perform the services you’re offering on Favo.
  • Provide services, not products (although products accompanying services are permitted)
  • Offer a service currently listed on Favo
  • Work directly with the customer (no referral or third-party services)
  • Don’t ask customers to download additional apps or complete duplicate request forms outside of Favo
